Manage Your Life Counselling
Manage Your Life Counselling is the name for my client, Lisa Attwood’s counselling practice.
Lisa wanted a website which was clean and modern, and which was easily accessible & responsive. I utilised some lage, full screen images (free from http://unsplash.com) to make the index page’s sections fit into clearly defined areas.
I used full page image / full page scrolling text approach to layout the index page and a nice responsive navigation script to look after the mobile & tablet options
The site was built using the Foundation (http://foundation.zurb.com/) responsive grid system
Lisa Provided some excellent content which explains her practice and the counselling process very well
You may be looking here as you are struggling to manage the pressures of everyday life.
There are times in our lives that we all go through psychological or emotional difficulties that can have an impact upon our general well-being, our personal relationships and on our working relationships.
Do you need help and support to manage your life without the fear of being judged?
My name is Lisa Attwood and I am an experienced counsellor and a member of the BACP. I am truly passionate about my work and adhere to professional and ethical standards. I offer a warm, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their situations and presenting issues.
The counselling approach I use integrates client-centred counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques which are tailored to work together with each client and their individual needs. I am able to let go of my theoretical assumptions to be able to just sit with the client in a supportive and reflective space which sometimes is all that is needed for some client issues. Counselling can help with most life issues and concerns.

The Counselling Approach I Practice
What is Counselling
“Sometimes it’s difficult to talk to family or friends”
Counselling is a term that is generally known as talking therapy. This is a shared and supportive space where clients can reflect on their concerns and issues in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
“I believe I practice what I preach as I use CBT strategies to help me be mindful of what going on for me, when managing my own busy life”
Client Centred Counselling
CBT is the most heavily researched solution focused counselling approach. I work together with a client to explore their thoughts, feelings and behaviours in relation to their issues. Depending on a client’s concerns, I use a range of CBT strategies which can include relaxation techniques, thought diaries and behavioural tasks. All of the strategies I use can be transferred into practice outside of the therapy room and help us to be mindful of what is going on for us in our busy lives.
What to Expect from Counselling
I offer an initial free 30 minute telephone conversation for clients to get a feel of whether they will be comfortable working with me as this psychological connection and working alliance is important in order for therapy to work. If you feel that you need a further face to face consultation before you decide whether counselling is suitable for you, I offer a reduced price session of £20.
The site will launch in November/December 2014. In the meantime, I made a holding / splash page to catch any early-bird customers. A short form allows users to send Lisa their Name and Email Address.
