I think I should take up Yoga

I’ve been looking at the pictures of Bill and Pepa at the gym – the last time for these gym-buddies as Pepa is back off to the Cheque Republic..

But it’s all making me feel rather weedy.. 🙁

I shall have to take up yoga again. It’s brilliant, makes you feel just wonderful! I used to be very disciplined – getting up at five thirty in the morning to perform all my ansanas.. Well, there’s nothing stopping me I guess…

I think a lot of people have a downer on exercise, not necessarily because it’s hard work (it doesn’t have to be – you can set your own goals), but more because they see it as superficial. A narcissistic indulgence. However, I think the opposite is true. I think physical exercise is a great key to all manner of soul growth. It keeps you balanced, it gives you routine and stability, and it enables you to really develop a better sense of self, because you can see progress. It’s great for relieving stress, boosting your immune system and raising your energy levels.

Thanks for the comment – you’re right I think… The prospect of putting in all that hard work does put me off a little… but I don’t have to take up anything as strenuous as body-building!

And where will I get the time? – Is another excuse! But the thing with Yoga is, if you do put in the time (say an hour or two every couple of days) – you feel so relaxed and at ease with the world; so able to manage your life better that you feel like you have MORE time to do things!
